Elderly drivers ...

Crawl along at 20mph, regardless of the road, have never been introduced to their indicators, slowing to a complete stop before they put them on, if at all, falling asleep at traffic lights and generally glaring at anyone who does otherwise.

And the gambling thing's not wrong, either - they sit there jabbing the pokies for hours on end, wrinkled, leathery old beasts who seem to be forged from the same material as the old stools they sit upon. Not good.

its when they say " in my day (when was that then grandad eh) we could go into town with a pound buy thirty pints, have a fish'n'chip supper and still come home with 50 bob"

whats that all about. firstly everyones better off now. secondly beer has actually come down in price in relative terms ( it should be around £5-00 in comparison to earnings in the fifties) and finally who the hell wants 50 bob's?

So what have the elderly done? I will tell you if you let me.

Went to war, for your freedom. Doug gardens, and trenches, the first for food, the second to attack and reclaim France.

They have, and still give us their versions of history. What was it like in the early part of the last century? Do you know? I doubt it?

The freedom we have is due to the elderly. We only learn from our elders.

they only annoy me when you're trying to get past them in a big crowd up the town and when they're paying with pennies on the checkout up asda, otherwise they're harmless aren't they?
