Do I Need Professional Help?

Have just completed a marathon Lent charity ban on amongst others chocolate, which I used to eat loads of.

Was very excited come Easter Sunday so I could 'get back on it', but have found I have little or no interest in eating chocolate any more. I have 4 easter eggs and one box of chocolates that I had expected to have devoured by now that is sitting there - completely of no interest to me.

What is wrong with me? Whould I be worried? Do I need help?

How much money did you save whilst fasting?

Chocolate is a choice, you want help because you're not addicted?!

I've barely touched alcohol in the last two months (on a mid-life crisis inspired health kick, nothing to do with Lent), and now i don't fancy it at all.

Surely that's fantastic news? You should be very happy.

Who do you think you became in the process of completing that marathon Lent charity ban?

Someone passionate? Determined? principled? unstoppable?

Whatever it is, if it's someone you feel positive about, you might be thinking that that person will die the moment you eat chocolate.

Indifference is your body's self-defence mechanism.

I'm the same with different foods. I do a lot of gym work and have to fill up on protein constantly but i am getting hideously sick of foods like tuna, Fish, Eggs and Chicken. I had 4 tuna sandwiches today and felt like my gut was being mauled by a vicious protein infested mut.

As for chocolate i have been labored with about fifteen Easter eggs after the annual family run up to scouse land, I will just do what i normally do and let the people of H block eat them all.

Can relate to that. Started the year giving up alcohol for a few weeks as a detox and have not had a drink since despite severe provication from the Albion.Don't really feel like having a drink either and have now decided to try and go the whole year to raise money for MacMillan Nurses.

Eating loads of chocolate is an addiction and like any addiction once you wean the body off the need for it you wonder why you craved it in the first place, like smoking, drugs and booze, chocolate is peddled as a legal drug, and just like any drug, it doesn't do you much good!

I'd be against seeking professional help, however, I would start drinking heavily.
