Do good looking youth team players get more of a chance in the first team?

Dean Hammond returning to the team after such a long and unjustified absence got me thinking.

I have noticed that youngsters such as Dan Marney, Chris McPhee and Jake Robinson getting a lot of chances in the first team whereas ugly players such as Shaun Wilkinson and Scott Ramsay did not have their contracts renewed.

Do the people in charge of our youth team push good looking players towards the first team?

I'd say Scott Ramsey was a lot better looking than Chris McPhee.

That said, Chris has probably got a much nicer personality. Scott seems really arrogant and I don't find that attractive.

All down to personal taste, I suppose.
