Trying to think positively.

Forest spaffed gazzillions, got fined, took the hit, survived and its come to fruition . . . .

They have a vastly superior and more experienced manager who is getting the best from them.

thats not to say TB's investments won't come to fruition, but it aint today!

Absolutely right. They chanced it with all those signings and some are turning into great players, while others have been moved on. We havent broken any PSR rules, but in terms of player development you could say that we're just a bit behind them in the process and that hopefully 12 months on from here the likes of Minteh, Gruda, Kadioglu, Ayari, O'Riley etc will show their worth. Right now their squad investment (even if they did break PSR) is coming to fruition where all these players have now bedded in, while we're still getting ours upto speed. We might be further along the process if we hadnt been hit so badly with injuries.

Based on their season, the answer is yes, but if we'd had a season without Welbeck, Ferguson, Pedro, Weiffer, Kadioglu, Ayari, Hinshelwood, Milner, Dunk, Estupinan, Lamptey, Webster, Igor, O'Riley, March, Gruda ALL being out for significant stretches, then I suspect we'd given them a run for their money.
