4 defeats on the trot, is this a repeat of Jeff Wood and Hinshelwood's regime where manager is promoted internally to save money, initial couple of results adequate and then the losses start mounting, DK then wields the axe within two months of making the appointment.

Groundhog day for the Albion?

DK should get his chopper out sooner rather than later, IMO

There is nobody else to do the job. Wilkins didn't even want it but was told if he didn't oblige he'd be out on his ear owing to there being no suitable alternatives

Initially under Wilkins the team went 4 games without defeat. Not a word from DK & Co. They then lose 3 games on the bounce and Wilkins is given the job!!
Strange???

So I suppose giving Wilkins a chance to build his own squad and get the team playing his way is out of the question then? Dont panic boys it will come good.

How could we have appointed the Dean Twins when SGE.,Curbs,Tony Adams,George Graham,Alf Ramsey, and Terry Venables had applied?

Rather than sharpening his chopper I think he should be looking for the exit .

Agree, we need fresh blood all round and not just the manager

Too true and I hope someone tells the potless pillock that intelligent people like you think that

I'm not quite sure whether to take that as a compliment or not :jester:

Yes, I agree - Wilkins would have made a better assistant for the moment, with a more experienced manager with the neccessary contacts to bring players in.

Oh well

In all honesty was McGhee given a chance to build a squad.

Sufficient funds etc.

Take it as a compliment Ned, I would.

And whilst you are about it, I would email 'Insider' and say that you would like to see Dick Knight's chopper.
