Apologies for that, totally unnecessary, I edited it out, but not quick enough.

Fair dos, but you don't have to go far back to find someone calling him a 'cockhead' (although that is TB so shouldn't be taken too seriously) and I took advice earlier and went through the thread to find info but I was met with few links and great deal of personal insults about the bloke so gave up.

Anyway the truth will out at some point.

I have read the posts above and have found some information that supports the claims. With respect to those posting I am not going to accept 'facts' posted on here as fact any more than I would accept the facts of a bloke down the pub.

As I said in an earlier post this whole sorry episode has been wrapped in conjecture and no small amount of hatred for the bloke which I think may well be distorting the facts somewhat.

As I have said there are certainly some questions about his actions and behaviour throughout this but I am going to wait for the reasons for the cancellation of his visa as I believe that this will shed more light on what went on.

My only criticism of the Australian Government in this issue is why it has taken so long to make a decision about all this. The issues outlined on this thread all happened a fair while ago so I agree with the ABC's question in wondering why he was given a visa in the first place.

Anyway don't worry about me I will get my answers sooner or later - or I may forget about it tomorrow and go back to not really giving a shit.

You keep banging on about conjecture but that's not true, you've just got your head in the sand. The facts are everywhere, most of which, as far as I can tell, he isn't denying. I guess if anyone posted a link you still wouldn't believe it because it's not what you want.

I don't hate him, but I'm certainly not a fan of people who lie to circumvent laws and rules, or ignore public health requirements during a pandemic.

That aside I've never warmed to him as a player; he always seems very arrogant and a bit of a tw@t.

I had no feelings (for or against) him, whatsoever, prior to this. However, he's behaved like a cock-sure prick, over this.

As for the 'human herd', I'm not disappointed to see that you're still following your own (albeit smaller) one.

Of course different does not necessarily equal "right" (whatever that is) but to say it rarely does is funny. Travel back a hundred years and those calling eugenics bullshit and questionable science - in turn making racism bullshit and questionable - would be in a small minority, just to mention one example. Most people follow trends, hype and conformity. Its one of the strengths of mankind because it allows us to build functioning societies but it is also a weakness because our fundamentalism put us in a lot of trouble as well.

I am sure there are links on posts, as I said I did try and go through the thread to look but found it hard going to wade through all the other crap. Yes I am still calling my experience of this thread conjecture as on the white the posts I have read have not been backed up with links or evidence. Some have, but most haven't.

Still I did do some reading yesterday and found out most of the relevant information. As I said in an earlier post there are some inconsistencies with what I heard yesterday from the court. Post #657

As much as it seems to be upsetting some I am waiting for more information to understand those inconsistencies.

My guess is that Wimbledon won’t adopt any similar public safety measures as the default business position in the UK is set at the minimum that can be got away with.
