Two of the players who came to the club in the statement "the fans will be surprised with the standard of signings we are after" during the transfer window!!
Well the statement was correct, because I surely expected them to be players who would help us push for the play off's, not just come and draw wages for nothing. Especially as one cost £50k. Yep I am really surprised.

Perhaps yes, but Didn't we pay £75,000 (or near that) for Dixon at the end of Janurary? He hasnt even made one substitute appearance That I can remember. The money could have been put to better use.

What is it with Albion always scouting for talent in the non-league, Elder,Revell,Loft,Dixon and McFaul all proven failures who have all cost us in wages. I know we can say we're skint and thats all we can afford but i'm sure Lee Barnard who cost Southend nothing has a smaller wage than Dixon, McFaul and Loft put together. I know everyone loves Barry Loyd and his bargain signings but look at the rest of the leagues signings and see if any of them have spent 300k on a player who is nowhere near the standard of players like Gillespie, Barnard and Beckford who all arrived at their clubs for peanuts.

You are correct about finding players for the future just as we did with Ward.
But these players were brought here under the understanding from the chairman that we were bringing in players to give us the push for the play off's.
So we sold Hammond, Revell and Elder all players regularly in the first team squad, but brought in players for the future. How did that help our play off push?
