This bloke has a tendency of being rumoured everywhere and going nowhere.

Would you like him to sign for us Swanny? I would. I think he would be a good fit.

I would be very very happy with Origi.

I don't think it will happen but think he would be great and add something different to our attack

Would love us to go against our ethos and get him on a season loan

Too right.

It would just buy us a year to get one or more of Connolly, Zeqiri or Siba to where they need to be.

Sometimes you need to look after the short term as well as the long. Having your eyes forever on the horizon is commendable, but comes with risks.

I’ve been going on about Origi for months now!
Into the last year of his contract, not on massive wages means he should be expensive but affordable to us.
He’s quick and direct and scores goals.
Not being quite good enough to push out Salah, Mane or Firmino does not mean he’s not good enough for us!! He’d improve our starting 11 immediately IMO.

Origi thinks he is way bigger than us. I just dont see it happening.

But just say he signed a contract extension at Liverpool, followed by a year loan to ahem ... a more modest PL club, surely that wouldn't damage his ego too much? He'd still be a Liverpool player

Scoring record is slightly less than 1 in 4 - so, about 9 a season then, not really any better than Maupay and Welbeck.

Good stat, (apart from the utterly obvious point, that he can't get in above Mane etc so it's not 9 a season) though the two oval shaped things above my cheeks and below my eyebrows tell me Origi is a way better player than either of them

Not even a dodgy Twitter or press link thus far though… seems very quiet on the striker front - I mean actual strikers ready to play first team football in the clubs’ eyes…

In his Liverpool career he's scored 35 goals in 6,350 minutes - roughly once every 180 minutes.

The 20 (19) goal per season striker we're looking for...?

1 goal in just over every 4 matches. 38 divided by 4 (or just over 4) - what figure do you suggest for the answer. Do the math, as they say.

Origi will be down to lallana surely, he will know this guy inside out, if he turns up we know Adam has given the nod of approval

35 goals in 157 matches. Yes, some as a sub - no idea how many. If your figure of 6350 is correct, yes, that is a better record - yet he was much less prolific before joining Liverpool, and when out on loan (when presumably he was mostly starting).

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Goals per 90 would be a better, more accurate stat to assess a player like Origi.
