I really hope he goes to a team where he is nurtured properly as otherwise he could just implode as a player. I think Di Matteo would look after him properly, though I would loathe him to be a star for Chelsea. Good player, could be a great if brought through properly.

You haven't seen him so you're not in a position to comment! Everyone who is making an informed decision (ie has seen him play this season) can see that he's not only the best winger in the league, but the best player too. I expect you'll change your mind on December 1st.
Darren Ferguson said that Zaha is the best player in the league after our game last week. Nigel Pearson said the same thing. As did Mick McCarthy the week before. Ian Holloway, recently managing Tom Ince, said that Zaha was the most talented player he'd ever seen.
Zaha is the real deal. Which is why he's about to become an England international.
I agree with you there, he hasn't been tested at a higher level and he might well flop, Palace fans over-praising him means nothing. In other words he could turn out to be just a souped-up Jeff Minton ...
I know it's our job to take the piss, but I can't be bothered, as this story is crap. I'm pretty sure he wasn't saying "only Messi & Ronaldo are better than me". He was saying that when you're on the pitch you don't fear other players, as that'll harm your game - you don't look at other players and think 'oh no, they're better than me (ok, unless they're Messi or Ronaldo, in which case you can't even pretend)'

Are Palace fans concerned? No.
He won't leave in January. We'd be stupid to sell him because it could cost us promotion worth roughly £90m rather than the £20m we'd get for him, and the teams that pay the money required to sign him don't normally buy players in January. All this speculation does is drive up his price. As long as he can keep his head, which we think he can, it won't be anything but positive.
It's also nice seeing Palace on the back page of every paper in the country

All this hype just makes it even more certain that he will be gone in January. I read that article as a come and get me with given the number of references he makes to the Premier league. Mixing with players in the England squad who are obviously not as good as him and probably earning 10 times will seriously piss him off given his opinion of himself

If your season nose dives before January and he is dropped from the England squad he will leave in January, that's the modern money driven game of football. Much as it pains me to say it he does look quite handy but the hype is getting out of control and it could go either way, rather funny that the Coke Cola kid was giving him advice. I am glad to see an English player expressing confidence and I do think some are taking the quote out of context (something that happens regularly with our own manager on here) as I am sick of criticism we give in this country when sports persons display the killer instinct needed to win.
As a Brighton fan I don't care too much as if he's as good as they say he will be out of Smellhurst shortly.

He said yesterday that he wants to play in the Premier League with Palace next season. Whether he leaves in Jan isn't up to him, even if he did want to leave, which there is no evidence for.
But be honest your new manager is not going to turn up and say he's not as good as the hype he's only an average player is he?

Of course not. But he could have stayed silent or given mild praise, rather than calling him the best player he'd ever seen with the ball at his feet.
Then again, nobody who has ever seen him will call him an average player. It has been blindingly obvious to Palace fans for well over a year now that we have a potentially world-class player at our club. He just radiates talent, and now Roy Hodgson has joined Arsene Wenger, Roberto Mancini, Jose Mourinho etc. in wanting him to play for his team.
Will we hold onto him forever? No. Will we keep him til the summer? I think so, and another season after that if we go up. Just wait until December 1st, you'll see what all the hype is about.
