My information is also a few years old but if you are thinking of going for three weeks, just check out the prices for annual passes to DW. In 91 when we went it was the best price and it was good for a year so you could go again 11.5 months later. Also included free parking and a few other perks. As far as I remember, they weren't really advertised and you had to go knock on a back door somewhere to get one. I suspect they were really meant for locals. But all may have changed since 91 of course.

Have only "graced" Golden Corral once and it was a truly depressing experience. Can only liken it to a motorway service station. The food (breakfast) was dreadful and it was wall to wall necks. The worst part was you just knew that they were going to down a bargain bucket from KFC for lunch and then tuck into Papa John's for dinner. The one I went to was in Jacksonville (and not one of the many dodgy parts of town). Can't say for sure whether they're any different in Orlando but I have no desire to put it to the test!
I would take Cracker Barrel over GC every time. If it helps to give anyone who hasn't experienced it some perspective if Golden Corral was a football club it would be Portsmouth.
