Yup. So for us it's between

Sky
Netflix
Amazon Prime
Disney +
Apple TV

Can't really justify having more than 3. I've probably forgotten - oh and Spotify Premium which I've come under pressure for but am not budging.

Similar here:

Netflix
Prime
Crave (HBO and lots of recent films)
DAZN
Disney+
Spotify Premium

I share Crave and Disney+ subscriptions with a friend, which works out well.

I do sometimes think about cancelling one of them. The trouble is they seem to go through phases of having good content. At the moment there's not a lot on Netflix I want to watch but I know something will come up that I'll latch on to. The same with the others. I guess that's how they get you.

First episode of Marvel's Loki debuted this morning. I really enjoyed it. Lot of footage from the previous movies which was fun, but probably won't happen every week, but the general tone and the moments around that footage was still fun so I'm confident it wasn't just a case of confusing a 'weren't those movies great' feeling with 'isn't this show fun'.

I have..

Netflix
Amazon Prime
Now TV (entertainment only)
Disney Plus
Spotify Premium.

In contrast to you, I'd keep Spotify premium above any of the others.

Mate, I've come under pressure on the Spotify but just like you, it's the one I'm definitely keeping.

Have dropped Prime and Apple for now.

Apologies, I misunderstood your previous post. As you say, Spotify Premium is a non-negotiable!

Absolutely. I was even annoyed at the mere suggestion!

"Just listen to the radio instead". Closest I've been to filing divorce papers.

We're still getting an insane amount of value from Disney+, and it looks like more to come. Though it helps, I suppose having kids of 6 and 3.

On a side note, info needed from music streaming subscribers.

Do people bother with this high res/flac options eg. Tidal or is Spotify standard enough for Joe Public? Depends on your set up I suppose.

you've kind of answered your own question. Spotify standard is fine for most systems. Audiophiles? well they are a breed apart!

Marvel's The Eternals, Steven Spielberg's West Side Story, Disney's Encanto, and others are due to have Cinema exclusive periods of release (between minimum of 30 and 45 days) before coming to Disney+/Star/Hulu. https://variety.com/2021/film/news/...e-story-last-duel-theaters-disney-1235061504/. Partly due to conditions in the deal to buy Fox, partly because of the releative success of Shang Chi in cinemas. Seems cinema still has some legs in it.

Really nice interview with Mary McCartney on Lauren's show just now.

Out in the US on Friday, January in the UK. Must try and source it.

Watched the first episode of Extraordinary last night - very, very funny.

Eight episodes are available to watch now - I'm looking forward to ploughing through them.

Not sure the trailer really does it justice...
