Following in the footsteps of the excellent 'In the Arena' series on Tom Brady, the Serena Williams one is well worth a look...if you like tennis.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here or not, but me and the Mrs have been watching Snowfall.
It is hands down one of the best shows I've ever watched, we're just about to start season 5 of 6 and we're absolutely engrossed in it.
It's about the CIA supplying drugs to a young dealer in south central LA who makes the crack cocaine business explode. The funds are used by the CIA to supply arms to the contras in Nicaragua to fight the illegal war against the drugs trade. There's also mexican cartels, Israeli mob bosses, LA gangsters, and everyone is out for themselves in one way or another.
Watching how the young lad changes from nickel and dime weed to multi million crime boss is amazing (the lad who plays Franklin is actually British, he's excellent.)
Can't recommend this series enough, 40 episodes in and each one has been brilliant.
Started watching Snowfall after seeing your recommendation.
Just finished watching it this evening. Absolutely phenomenal TV. All 6 series are a 10/10. Genuinely up there with Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul for me.

I hadn’t heard of it until your post, it’s gets incredible ratings. Next for us, after Gangs of London.

Gangs of London season one is excellent, didn't like season 2 though.

Snowfall is excellent and you don’t need to be a fanboy to watch … trust you’ve paid your licence fee though

This could be right up my street after Id recently rewatched the wire and Breaking Bad. Just started Better Call Saul for the second time which I will see through but will carry much pick up Snowfall as an additional show as didn’t want to start the Sopranos again unless I needed to - a big commitment!

Cheers

You've just nailed some classic shows there. On that basis might I suggest Sons of Anarchy if you've not seen it. I'd go as far to say it's only a few notches below The Sopranos and The Wire. Forget Charlie Hunnam's legendary poor accent in the daft but entertaining football hooligan film Green Street. In SOA he's brilliant as is the ever reliable Ron Perlman.

I’ve done SOA and it was also on the rewatch list. Normally you get a spate of new shows to watch and the clsssics are there to fill the void, but it’s been lacking a bit recently.

Ozark and Banshee also notable rewatch candidates

I struggled with Ozark a bit and gave up about half way season 2. We do need one to get our teeth into so maybe Banshee might be an option.

Does anyone know of a current deal on full-fat Disney+?

For my last renewal I tried the cheaper ad-supported tier and it's RUBBICH. Particularly annoying that they don't allow downloads so I can't use it on my commute.

I'd probably bin it off but my children variously have MCU and Bluey habits...

Are you with O2? We are, so I was just able to ditch the regular Disney+ continuous payment and let that account lapse. Because O2 offered 6 months free Disney+.
