Disappearance of Haywards Heath Gym/health club...

A colleague of mine who lives in Haywards Heath was telling me of an alleged scam whereby a gym was set up, loads of equipment hired to give the appearance it was fully-functioning, loads of membership fees were collected upfront then - bang, the operation disappeared overnight.

Can anyone confirm this happened and, if so, the name of the place and what was the outcome?

having a look for more details now. I think the place may have gone bankrupt very soon after opening rather than be a scam. My parents live up that area and remember it happening .. cant have been more than 5 years ago

Much appreciated SJ. I'm interested cos I've got a client dealing with a Haywards Heath based leisure company and I hope they're not one and the same.

The director was called Mark ( his surname i forget) prior to being a director of the Train Station he was a personal trainer at the health/squash club next to Hanbury Park stadium. I believe that health club is also no longer open
