Because the people Im going with arn't albion fans so wont want to pay an additional tenner. We go on a lads weekend every year and go to a game, by chance this year Albion are away so obviously I want to go in the away but looks like its going to be too much aggro.

I made the same point in a question to ask the club but it got rmoved. I was looking to arrange going to the Charlton game with a group that would have been 2 Albion fans, a couple of London club fans that look out for Albion, and a bloke from work. For various reasons of wives and family, some people would have decided on the the day and with a ticket on the door we would have gone. We wont bother now and so that is between 2 to 6 less people at the game. So wh are they making it so difficult? Charlton holds 30K and Leeds 40K. Charlton wont sell out, and Leeds home end will be pay on the day - it was even in the Premier Lague years against teams like Coventry

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
Leeds have successfully deterred away supporters by sticking them in the upper deck of a corner with a crap view miles from the pitch (sound familiar).
Each year we take less than the year before.

To be fair that just about sums up why I can't be bothered this time round, crap view, sh1te stewards and not a very pleasant atmosphere pre-match or after.

By 6he way, if Ask the club is not the right place to ask the club for hat is going on about these issues, then can someone in the know, Lord B? Attilla Paul S or someone ask them what these clubs are playing at?

with respect mate, i dont think the girl in the ticket office is going to be the right person to ask the clubs to think again or an explanation is she. She is on £5 an hour and wouldnt have a scooby, and so its not her fault

with respect mate, I doubt Atilla or Lord B or Paul Samrah would know the club policy at Leeds or Charlton. Ask them (and find the number yourself via Google)

you are obviously spoiling for a fight but when leeds and chalton made it all ticket, Ken Brown should have spoken to his counterpart and asked why, explained the problems it creates for his customers and then worked the position from there. Ken Brown should know why its all ticket and so ask the club or someone with his ear would seem the best way of finding out dont you think?

the club have said they will have an oyster card scheme and also you can buy tickets on the day without one at the ground if someone comes along without an oyster so you can bring friends along which is rasonable.. anyway back to leeds and charltion, what are they playing at?

Which is really no different from now as you can buy on line and collect at the ground

I do think part of the problem as well is the FA & FL are putting more pressure on clubs to record who goes to games because of potential trouble etc and people skipping banning orders, so when you become a white/blue/STH you sign a form that basically says you promise not to misbehave or drink. I don't think the club are being deliberately difficult about this just the way the modern game has gone

massive difference mate, someone has to get their credit card out and do the organisation, instead of merely turning up in a pub with one other and seeing who else comes along. Leeds and charlton all ticket is weird, they hold 40K and 30K and certainly charlton wot sell out, and leds will be pay at their booth thing on the day for the home end, just as it was oin the premier, so why not the away end?

Leeds have bar code readers at the away end.

i know as you buy the away ticket at the booth behind leeds main stand and then walk to the away end and the ticket has a bar code on it. booth next to the away end would make more sense

i think you are almost right but its not the football league. Ken Brown was very unpopular with millwall fans and h made itt so diffuclt for millwall fans to get in that the customer base at millwall shrunk for the average games like barnsley at home. Since he has left, and cstomer friendly policies instead of unfriendly policies have been introduced the millwall crowds have bounced back -without mayhem

We noticed quite a few at Villa Park last week who must have obtained tickets from mates who are in one of the membership schemes but weren't going , because these geezers are on banning orders.
