Supposedly being looked at by Southend.

Surely worth a sniff - got to be more likely then Horsefield and Rasiak who McGhee had a look at.

I know Southend are in a higher league but would be worth monitoring...

no, that 150k will now go missing. upon which the club will claim they never knew of such a huge sum of money being available.

Maybe so but that money could be used to buyt a player and sell on. I doubt Dublin would sing on for long and we wouldn't have a chance to make any money on the deal.

I personally think it would be a good move, but then I haven't seen our accounts.

He would bring our young players on and help them develop and no doubt score a few goals along the way so I don't think it would be wasted money.

I think most of us agree with you Richie, But in all honesty there is more chance of McGhee coming out of retirement to be our target man.

Yeah cos Sheringham's likely to come here as well isn't he? MM says we wanted a target-man, not a leg heavy brick wall.

I never said anything about him coming here. Nor Windass. I was illustrating the point that Dublins age was not necessarily a problem, for a short term deal to be considered.

I thought he was older than 37. He's still gash tho.
