He did score against us in the 1983 cup final so I tend to remember that rather than his Chelsea days. But that aside, you clearly missed the irony. Just out of interest why "deluded?". Agree he's a shit pundit, but just wondering what made you say "deluded?"

because he says shit like... 'that wasn't a deliberate bad challenge from (enter chelsea players first name), i know him as a person and he's not that sort of man'

yes ray just because he's nice to you it doesnt mean he's nice to everyone you tit! everyone knows the chelsea players are vile... JT, cashley, MIKEL!!!

Ah, yes, I get you now. Absolutely agree. It's one of the reasons why I think he, like John Barnes, have been shit at punditry. Compare them to Redknapp and Neville and they are missing that ingredient. Too f***ing nice and not wanting to make judgements,

yea spot on. neville is on another planet. jamie redknapp is also very fair! when they're at work they're at work!!! they're not trying to just be nice to ex football friends etc.

i know a lot of people probably dont like him but i like graham souness. can be harsh but most of the time hes straight to the point.

Ray Wilkins is always referred to as "Majestic" by me and my friends. Because that's how he described the first half of the England Italy 3rd place play off in the 1990 World Cup at half time.

I always enjoy a game of "Exceptional Bingo" when Ray is on. He struggles to go longer than 10 minutes without saying "exceptional", or "quite exceptional".

"Pleasant" is another one he seems fond of.
