I’m more inclined to view him as an honest but hapless figurehead, unable to stop a juggernaut of corruption and doping and fight his way of the mire of corporate and national self interest of powerful stakeholders rather than a Blatter / Platini blatantly on the take type

I’ll defend the bloke no further. Time for someone else to have a turn. As with all sports, the best administrator would probably be someone who has never contemplated becoming an administrator.

Through work, I've met Coe quite a few times. In my experience he's a horrible human being.

I've worked with Ridgeon many times more, and he is, in my experience, a decent guy. Not that it makes his defense of the above SHAMBLES any better.

Really feel sorry for the Athletes with the empty seats, the marathon 50% drop out due to the heat. The event is almost a month later than usual plus a silly o'clock for the heat. International spectators go to these event for the sport, sightseeing, and socialising eating and drinking for which Doha provides none of. A foreseen poorly arranged destination that all can be seen by everyone except the corrupt organisers, 2022 WC can go and **** itself (it will **** the domestic season up in many football playing nations...
