Walking around the playground with a stack of world cup ('70) swaps.
Though for all year round entertainment you had marbles, coloureds (x2), gobs (x4) and ball bearings (x 4 and upwards depending on size).

Sorry if this sounds a bit dorkish:
The picture shows the much harder 4-by-4 rubic cube. Early models were 3-by-3 and still near-impossible to complete. Somewhere I have the instruction manual that explains, move-by-move, how to complete the b@stard.
