Starting from the bottom................
Crawley - automatic promotion to League 1 - they have more financial clout than anyone in that league and will make it count.
Chesterfield - upper mid table and maybe flirting with the play-offs. I don't think there is too much between League 1 and 2 other than having a few ex-big-boys who have slipped down the leagues (usually) through financial problems. Next year the two Sheffields should spur each other on at the top end of the table and there will be someone from MKD/Hudds/Posh who don't make it this season. Add Charlton and there is still room for a side that can score goals consistently to make the top group.
Brghton - looking at the line-ups for last night's QPR v Sheffield game I was struck by the quality of the respective benches. If we can stengthen and get a good start to keep confidence and momentum going we could be on with a shout to at least flirt with the play-off places.
QPR - their owners declined to spend to consolidate their position in January and I can see them doing the same again and just not spending (or having available to spend) enough. Most likely outcome for me is a Blackpool scenario (and before them it was Birmingham....WBA.....) and making a good start before falling away because of lack of investment to compete. Borderline relegation by the season's end I think.
