Is there anybody on here who lives in Farnce and or is likely to be driving in Farnce in the next couple of weeks.

I want to know the price because of filling up here or in France when I drive to Portugal. The price is dropping fast in Asda etc here but what about France, Spain and then Portugal. The website prices are not up to date all about 6 months out .

We were in France last week. The price on the autoroutes is 1.45 euros but away from them it varies between 1.27 and 1.30 euros.

It rose to about €1.40 a litre a few months ago. I think it is still about that price.

I did this last summer and found it was pretty much the same here as in France (I went on Google street map and found an actual petrol station in France and looked at it's price board, how sad is that huh? I should have just asked someone like you did :))

But the photos on Google Streetview will be months or years old.

I'm curious as to why you want to know. If you're making a trip across Europe, you will need to re-fuel so you'll have to pay whatever the going rate happens to be,

Does it really matter? If you're barrelling through the Dordogne and the old fuel light comes on you can't really say "I think I'll go to the Marina Asda, it's miles cheaper there."

just like here go to the hypermarket for the cheapest fuel and never use a motorway service station. Prices are reasonably comparable/just a little below in northern France - pretty much directly comparable in Belgium/Holland as of a month ago.

When close to the France/Spain border ensure your tank is as empty as possible. Fuel is cheaper in Spain, diesel yesterday varied from 1.21 - 1.25 euros/litre.

are you travelling to France soon then? What route are you taking, I have a route I take to the South every year (leaving in 2 weeks) and have found a number of "Le Electric" garages on route with cheaper fuel. 3 weeks ago was 1.26 euro
