Didn't anyone else enjoy the match?

Enjoy is perhaps the wrong word,it would have been ok if the scoreline had been in our favour i suppose and there was plenty of incident all through the game,it was more surreal than enjoyable for me but it will not stop me from going to millwall.

Life is too short not to enjoy some aspects of yesterday. Sure, I would have preferred a dull 1-0 win but I enjoyed:
- Dickinson's whole hearted (and incresingly lone) display
- comedy value of various things especially the Hawk for whom that will surely be the extent of his Albion season
- Stockport's second goal which was brilliantly taken
- Crofts who looks a real trier in midfield
Onwards and upwards to Millwall.

My thoughts exactly. Add to that Dickers performance when he came on & the whole crowd getting behind the team.
Can everyone get a bit of perspective? You would be HUMILIATED if you forgot to put your trousers on & went to Withdean. not by the Albion losing a game of football. I thought we were used to that.

With a ref handing out cards like that either team could have won that match. It was only our poor defending that lost us that game even with 9 men

Good point well made.

There was plenty there to be positive about and it was entertaining. I dont think Slade yet knows what his best line is and I still think it will be several games yet before he does. Most of the team is new we always have too few testing pre-season friendlies which means it will take time. I like the new players and we should stand by them. My only main beef was some of the booing when Hawkins came on; I really cannot understand anyone who thinks its OK to boo your own players. Cheer them if you like what you see, if not, shut the f*** up.

Im really looking forward to the next few games!

This thread proves there are two very different types of football supporter. For some it's about the excitement and thrill of the spectacle (and yes, being beaten and getting the arse with the officials, opposing fans, management etc can be exciting) and for others it's all about the win and nothing else.

I thought it was a good match. I thought some of our new players (Dickinson, Smith, Crofts, Tunniclife, Bennet and Wright) showed real promise. Navaro looked good in patches too. I thought Whing was excellent again. The 9-man fight was uplifting and some intelligent football was played (despite the baying of 'get it forward' at the first opportunity from the mentally challeged in the crowd). The ref didn't have as bad a game as it seemed but we were unlucky at times.

Of course I'd have rather we won but it was still damn fine entertainment and that's what I pay my money for. On another day we'd have won that game 4-2 and everyone would be saying Slade's turned the corner. That's football.

Frustrating yes. Enjoyable no. Apart from the antics on the field and the Man in Black who was allegedly in charge the best bit were the Spitfire flying overhead and the Pullman that went past.

My life is not where I want it to be at the moment, and going to the match, with my mates and having a laugh should be the best pleasure I know of, and do you know what, I didn't consider that shower entertainment.

Mr Insider how can you say Navarro gave a good display when the majority on here thought he was poor? Incidentally I agree with you but I do think he tired alittle towards the end. Would like to see him pushed forward a bit more with Dicker as anchor man.

Do I detect a tone of sarcasm?
