Did you play with a famous footballer at school or sunday league teams.

Closest I've come to is playing in goal against former Millwall youth and Lewes striker Chamal Fenelon in a 6 a side tournament 2 years ago. Well over 6'3 and built like a brick s***house. Felt sorry for my mate who I asked to man mark him all game but he did a fine job and we ran out 2-1 winners, with myself pushing a stinger of a shot round the post from close range!

I've played against him, he's an animal!

Spent many happy hours playing football up Victoria Park with Peter Bonnetti and his brothers who were all very good, but in those games he always played as an old fashioned Inside Right never in goal. At school played in the same team as Brian Yeo who played many many games for Gillingham and was their top scorer, dont know if he still is.

Remember playing for a team in 92 who had some really good players

David Beckham
Gary Neville
Paul Scholes
Nicky Butt
Keith Gillespie

Often wonder whether any of them ever made it

We had two P.E. Teachers at my school, Mike Smith and Mike Yaxley, remember them?

Mike Yaxley went on to carve out a very successful career as Albion physio ... and Mike Smith surpassed that.
Smithy became Team Manager of Wales!

No wonder we had a sh*t hot school football team.

Mike Smith was a bit of a bully in truth, but Yaxley was a sound teacher.

You must be a BHASVIC boy then, before it became BHASVIC.

Played down the park with Ian Chapman in Woodingdean when he was about 11.

Played cricket with Gehan Mendis when he was suspended by Sussex for the Grammar School Old Boys XI

Personal trainer is Mark Lynch, ex Manchester United, Sunderland, Hull, Rotherham and Yeovil left back.

I also played park football with Ian Chapman, Woodingdean. He had a nickname did you know it?

Yaxley and his son also coached at my school (Mowden). I would love to know what has happened to them. They were great guys.

Newmarket.
It's getting a bit "Life of Brian" in here.
I also played football with "Welly" in Happy Valley.

Also against Gerry Armstrong. He obviously loved football to have turned out three or four times against a player of my crap standard.

Played against Elliot Bennett! Could tell straight away he was quality......played with Jamie brotherton, Sam Gargan, and jerahl Hughes, all pottering around the semi pro leagues, although Sam gargans now in conference south

That was a good sussex side containing those players. Had a better striker than Sam Gargan at Brighton back then. He slipped through the net like so many.
