This is to all Non Season ticket holders I guess

The club gave the chance to Non season ticket holders to become 2nd tier priority for away tickets this season

This was offered at a cost of £30

This meant that for games where tickets for our allocation were at a premium, Blue membership holders would get first dibs on these tickets after season ticket holders.

This meant that you got priority over White membership holders and any others?

As it turned out, there has been no need for blue members in the cup games, and as far as I know, none needed for the league campaign - but there is still the Sussex Senior Cup

So did you pay the £30 incase we got a plum tie against a premiership team in the FA cup, or did you gamble on not getting one???

I bought one. Only about 300 sold in total, but I think of it as an insurance policy should we get into the playoffs (awaits for medication to wear off)

I didn't get a blue membership, didn't see the point because I can only get to 5/6 games a season anyway.

Next season however, I should hopefully be a season ticket holder so wouldn't need to get blue membership.

Was there a limit to how many they would sell?

To be honest I think most people will get one of the 40,000 tickets available for Wembley should they want one.

I said at the time teh Blue thing was a massive con, and so it has proved.

White for me too.

I think it was Wozza who eloquently put it as ' pay £30 per year for the chance <only> to get advance tickets for what TWO matches (WHU +Spurs) in past couple of years - madness'

Paraphrasing, but you get the gist of what the man said...and he was right..!

thought there was gold membership too, but maybe wrong. I joined as a white member, but thought it sounded a bit racist

Talk about money for old ROPE
Mind you, we got £35k for Elder, so Dicks clearly pretty good at this kind of thing.

With the 1st half of season DVD arriving before Christmas and the 2nd half of the season DVD expected at the end of the season, I have effectively paid £15 for an insurance policy should we draw a plum tie in the cup home or away (based on the end of season DVD costly approximately £15).

For someone that attends the majority of away games I was prepared to pay £15 for this privilege. I would rather give the club this money for obtaining this privilege than spend it in the shop for some piece of tat that I don't really want.

Although many will argue that its a waste of money etc, its put £9,000 into the clubs budget (minus admin fees etc based on a membership of 300)

Ultimately if we had drawn a big home/away cup game I would have been vastly increasing my chances of getting a ticket, something which I don't have a problem with.

The question is, will the club continue to run the scheme next year and what if anything will they have to change to the scheme to attract new members?

I reckon we lost to Mansfield on purpose, just to avoid the resulting BINFEST over 4th round tickets. Its the only logical explanation for that performance.

Another DVD should do it, by your reckoning. :dunce:

in the last years you could probably say these 2 and swindon in the play off's were the only great need

im a sth but my brother is a blue member more or the case that if we did get a big cup game or into the play off's then it would give a good or at least better chance of a ticket

Wouldn't have paid a penny for it mind....

I laughed when I read it was being introduced, naturally I didn't even consider paying for this rip off having already paid £10 for my LIFETIME away membership years ago.

Yep, worth a couple of DVDs, but happy to consider it as a donation to the club.
