Did we lose on purpose

Don't think on purpose.... But I believe he was more worried about players like bridge etc getting game time, treated it as a pre season friendly and certainly seems pleased we are out

I'm quite sure Gus is bloody glad to be out of it, we played like we were still in pre-season- not on purpose but he didn't exactly fire the players up.

Feel sorry for those that travelled, it was on the cards though!

No, but one team looked like they wanted it and one team looked like they were going through the motions.

Its the League Cup, results like this happen all the time. I would expect us to play with more urgency against Hull, fingers crossed.

No, only one team had the desire to win. We played at such a low intensity it was like watching us in early pre season.

No. Home form will be OK but another woeful away match - its clear we need at one least more forward and if tonight forces the issue then so much the better.

Last time we lost to a lower league team we went on to walk the league. Maybe he thinks the cup runs we went on ultimately hurt our playoff chances last season.

It did seem in the second half we didnt try a thing, bridge and Bruno bombed forwards a lot in the first half and did little in the second.

Was a good workout for us I thought. Though surprised he didn't bring Toby on earlier. Been outvof the UK for all pre season. So first chance to see the new signings. Thought Bruno was superb but we do need that striker. Don't think Gus did much wrong. The players just made some wrong decisions at times. Especially noone.

All I know is when we VIOLATED League One we were utter cack in the cups. Would be much more concerned if we saw that performance on Saturday. All I read from this is that Gus is going for it in the league.

our final balls into the box were woeful, lets hope that improves mind you we need a striker to get on the end of them so that is buggered then

It really did have a pre season run out feel to it. Didn't somebody on here post that TB told Gus to concentrate on the league rather than the cups?

Gus has actually said that on record before, and let's be honest it probably did have an effect on us no making the playoffs.

Gus has also said on record before the season started that cups were no important this season, this totally showed tonight. We will be 'spectacoooler' in the league this season and I am excited.

Chill out let Swindon have their day, Gus clearly didn't give a shit in the interview so if he doesn't I don't.

Night.
