Chris does give certain players a number of games to play themselves back into form: Izquierdo (hasn't worked), Propper (worked), Gross(?)... still our best set piece player but tires after 70 mins. Apart from set pieces (which got our two goals!!!) Gross has never been great in open play away from home.

The one that confused me last night, was after 3 games in a week (and the fact he looked exhausted) - Gross wasn't replaced by Bissouma.

Bissouma did well in the chances he's had, and there were a couple of occasions where Gross looked so tired that he went for long balls over the top (to nobody, or out of play) rather than taking the ball forward when we had promising attacks.

Was just a little bit odd not to use all 3 subs after 3 games in a week. Fresh legs with Noble/Antonio for them changed the game.

Wasn't it Murray putting pressure on their centre halves that lead to several corners that led to 2 goals?

T'was indeed, he does that very well. But he's not quick enough to break effectively,. Gives them 10 yards on us straight away. They would have been more worried about our pace on the counter with Bisoooma and Andone straining at the leash. Murray does a wonderful job, but he was not the right man for the job we needed to do in the second half. IMHO.

He did also win the corner that led to the second goal.

Should have taken Dunk off for punching their donkey.

Brilliant performance last night. Difficult to defend their goals and we brought on Bong the minute we saw that Bernardo started to struggle with his slight knock.

The best bit of the performance for me was how quiet we kept Andy Carroll quiet. Normally he will cause defences problems no matter who he plays against but Dunk totally nullified him. Not many players do that to Carroll. Normally he will fashion the odd chance but Dunky didn't let him out of his pocket until they wanted to take him off
