Did a Brighton player move onto Manu U in the 80's?

An Arsenal fan recalls a player from Brighton going onto to play 4 Man U in the 80's.

I can't recall anyone.

Lawro and Robinson went to Liverpool, but I can think of anyone who went to ManUre.

Maybe he is thinking of the Ritchie deal which was a swap deal, but it included Nottm Forest as well.

They're not getting mixed up with Lawrenson are they he was meant to be moving to Manure before Bamber sold him to Liverpool instead??

Fosie went to Villla, Stevens went to Spurs, Robinson went to Liverpool, Smith went to Man City, McNab went to Man City (I Think!), Case to Southampton, Horton to Luton, Andy Ritchie swapped with Terry Connor at Leeds...but I can't think of anyone that went to Manure!?
