Dick's Interview

He may look old but he is the figurehead behind some pretty big decisions recently. It must have been painful for him to get rid of MA, a man he backed to the hilt but had clearly run aground. The easiest and cheapest option would have been to soldier on with Micky but he and his board had the bollox to cut him loose. Now, in the face of one of the worst injury crises I can remember, they have backed the management team with five new loanees in a few days. This doesn't happen with a click of the fingers..it requires a lot of behind the scenes negotiation. In our Chairman, we have one of the best in the business and historically, his skill has enabled us to attract ' names ' to BHA that wouldn't normally have given us a second glance.
Yes, Dick has made mistakes ( Hinshelwood / Adams 2nd time ) but he's not been slow to correct them. He's there to be popped at but the grass isn't always greener elsewhere.

Extremely wise words....

Still in Brighton
i would rather have someone here who really wants to be here and prove himself (Slade) than someone who has dithered and doesn't appear to have any real desire to manage the Albion (Gannon). why continue to chase a manager who is obviously waiting for a better offer!

What strikes me about this thread and the NSC board generally at the moment is the large number of new posters.

I know a lot of people have had to register in order to get access to the site at busy times, but it's really good to see them contributing too - and in a considered and positive way.

Until recently, you could almost have put a title for a thread and then just asked people interested to add their names - and you'd pretty much know what their view would have been.

Great to see fresh bloody contributing to the board.
