I was nearly banned from Dick's and/or the Amex before the Spurs game for asking the doorman why there was a massive queue and others were able to just wander in. The doorman was a tosser of the highest order and got all aggressive about it.

Sounds like the same guy that I had a bit of run-in with. I was on my own, and meeting up with a couple of friends in the bar.Thought he was quite aggressive and bloody miserable, big guy with a bald head. Seemed to fancy himself quite a bit too.
I might be just a little weak and feeble woman, but I really wanted to smack him one!

Funnily enough, I haven't seen him for the last couple of times I've been in there so maybe other people have had problems with him and he's been given the old heave-ho.

First time in there last night and won't be rushing back. Thought it was awful. A £105m stadium and we get a sterile, white painted and harshly strip-lit room with ill-planned and insufficient seating. Less said about the range of beers the better. Put a couple of cheap armchairs and a Fosters and Kronenberg tap in your average school canteen and hey-presto - you've got your very own Dick's Bar. It should be renamed 'The Moon Bar' due to its complete lack of atmosphere.

Agree with this, looks more inviting from the outside, a bit disapointing.

Well I went in thre on sunday after game and thought it was great. Three ales available, service pretty quick, plenty of standing room and managed to get a table at one point. To me it's amazing that I can have a post-match pint in such surrounding without having to leave the stadium. Still each to their own I suppose.

I have only been in there once and that was by chance..

I was waiting to meet up with someone outside and in desperate need of a leak... I walked up to the doorman and asked if I could go in to use the loo (there was a long queue waiting to get in). The doorman said "go on mate and er, get yourself a pint while you're up there". Nice chap I thought.

Once in, I wasn't that impressed I have to say though! not worth queuing for IMO.

THink some people need to put things in perspective a bit...........it's a bar at a football ground! Have you ever been in the one at West Ham??

I actually think it's pretty good, don't want a larger one or it would end up like the concourses. I like the fact its pretty comfortable in there, service is reasonable and come the crap weather it will be nice and warm.

Perhaps another one in the East or wherever would be a good idea though as the club must be very happy with the revenue from it's sales.

It wouldn't cost much to put in a little 'mood' lighting - I went in there pasty as an A4 sheet of paper last night and came out looking like Gavin Henson!
