Turn up as soon as it opens and be first in line is the best bet. The special Seagulls Harvey's bitter make it more the well worthwhile. Last went there when I went to get my book signed and the BBC South East guy nearly walked into me, in which we exchanged a few laughs.
From my experience it's very possibly not full, they just seem to like to filter people in slowly, presumably so as not to overwhelm the bar. Later on it will be 1 in/1 out but it moves quicker than you expect generally.

We only had to queue for 5-10 minutes on Sunday, having arrived around 2pm. Strolled straight to the bar, served quickly, nice pint of Harveys, watched a bit of Wolves v Wigan on Sky and continued fruitless search on fan mosaic for pic of my brother. Wandered on down to our north stand seats around 2.45. Easy enough.

Not sure Tim, due to the fact that despite being a community stadium, I'm not allowed in with a fellow STH because he's only 12, even though by common consensus he's better behaved than myself.

It's not worth waiting more than a 5 minute wait IMO.

This. A bar is no place for kids, surely? That, for me, is one of the main attractions of going there pre-match.

In my one visit in there (obviously it's very nice) I thought you could have safely and comfortably got a lot more people in. Make it too restricted and it might be pleasant for those inside, but rather defeats the object of a supporters' bar. It's more like a VIP lounge.

It is like a VIP lounge. The only time I've queued to go in there were a number of people who just bypassed the queue and with a handshake to the doormen went straight in. Clearly its about who you know!
I was nearly banned from Dick's and/or the Amex before the Spurs game for asking the doorman why there was a massive queue and others were able to just wander in. The doorman was a tosser of the highest order and got all aggressive about it.

First time in there last night and won't be rushing back. Thought it was awful. A £105m stadium and we get a sterile, white painted and harshly strip-lit room with ill-planned and insufficient seating. Less said about the range of beers the better. Put a couple of cheap armchairs and a Fosters and Kronenberg tap in your average school canteen and hey-presto - you've got your very own Dick's Bar. It should be renamed 'The Moon Bar' due to its complete lack of atmosphere.
