I think we should keep Dicko , send Holroyd out on loan for the season , forget about Barnes and get a 20 goal a season striker .

Getting a bit concerned that the big clearout most of us reckoned on is possibly looking a bit flakey at the moment....or am I panicking too early?

i agree with the first half of this but i like barnes and think that he cud be our 20 goal a season striker

I don't think Barnes has the ability to do that because if he could im sure Plymouth wouldn't of loaned him out when they needed goals the most.

:lolol:

4 in 4 and he doesn't have ability. f*** me, if Murray had that in the last few games people would be wetting their pants.

Just remember Bristol Rovers sold Bobby Zamora to us after he scored 6 in 6 games (I think) on loan with us. There are bargains to be had my friend

was pondering that thought as well. The idea that Hart may still have a future does seem suprising

You took that out of context , if you think Barnes has the ability to get over 20 goals a season then fair enough , but i think we should look elsewhere , and its 4 in 7 by the way :)

Big Dick has to be a better option than Holroyd.

I think everybody is taking this Hart thing out of context as from my reading of it Gus has invited him back for pre season training if he hasnt got fixed up elsewhere and will then have another look at him, the same with Hawkins and Carole. That is not to say he or any of them will get another contract. If any potential signings do not materialize perhaps we will better off with having them rather than nobody at all. Presumably the same will happen with Dickinson.

I would much rather have Dickinson here than Holroyd, who I'm afraid doesn't look like a Football League striker yet or someone who can offer anything to a playoff hunting team

Look at our form in the second half of the season and we have a squad able to challenge for promotion.

Much of the clear-out is already happening - if we could sign our loanees (LuaLua, Hendrie, Hoyte, Arismendi, Painter, and Barnes) that would be 6 "new" signings - it's just that they will already know how we play which is quite an advantage.

I could see us bringing in maybe 4 extra players on top of that and then potentially selling Elphick* and Murray (and maybe Dickinson & McNulty) to make way for additional new faces.

*I'm only touting Elphick because he is one of the few who may attract a fee

We couldn't afford Arismendi and I think Lua Lua would command too high a fee or would prefer Championship football if he was going to be sold.

Lua Lua may be a loan possibility along with Arismendi.

I have an instinct that tells me Murray will be gone soon. I believe Gus may think he will be too much a disciplinary concern and he really isn't going to make the grade above League One in my opinion.
