the other guitarist in what is probably my favourite band of all time - The Allman Brothers Band. Often considered and ranked the greatest live band of all time. He wrote Blue Sky, which would be the first track on my Desert Island Disc, and Jessica, better known as the theme tune of Top Gear.

A bit like Duane Allman was the other guitarist in Derek and the Dominoes.
they were both individually brilliant and worked superbly together as well.
