Did anyone see Noone grin to the Albion fans after he stayed down for a while? Hero

Our midfield bossed the game today, and Dicker is getting more used to the Championship.

Wasn't there today but would say we still need another CM, even if it means the likes of Dicker rotate. Also a dead ball specialist so Harley fits the bill...

Great to hear our midfield stepped up today though.

I find it hilarious that Palace rejected him last summer after a trial. They wouldn't know a good player if he was 'standing on the beach with a seagull on his head'.

Dicker then Bridcutt for me close to a 10 and a 9 rating wise. Dicker was just fantastic today after a very ordinary start to the season.

Yes, Bridcutt was RIDICULOUS out there. Too good. Although I think that he was subbed to prevent a second yellow, so that's one small bad point (and we missed him).
Dicker was excellent too, nice to see him back to from after a couple of weak games.
Noone, I've criticised him more than most over his last two performances... but he was superb today.
Back 5 all class.
CMS, great to see him get off the mark, how does he keep going the way he does for 90 or 100 minutes?

We were nice. Only downsides are Buckley injury, and maybe we're still not creating as many chances as we could be.

Bridcutt really is a very, very good player.

And to think we would not have got him in had Navarro not got injured at Northampton.

He just protects the back four so well, doesn't give the ball away (and when he does, it's so unusual you find yourself being shocked)

HOW on earth we got him for nothing is unreal - the extended contract he signed in the summer is like signing a high quality player.

Now the back end of last season and the start of this i must admit Dicker had been the weakest link. HOWEVER today he was v v good. Lets hope he keeps it up as he is a good player.

My MOM would have been Painter tho.

Basically Gary Dicker is one the classiest and most intelligent players to have ever worn the stripes. He has had, by his standards, an average start to the season but I knew that he is so good it will just be a case of getting upto speed with Championship football especially as he has not played at this level before. He did get caught a couple of times today but those negatives were a drop in the ocean compared to all the good stuff he did at Fratton Park as he seems to be finding his feet.

So, he is getting there and when he is completely in tune with this standard of football we will have an outstanding asset. He deserved to be Man-Of-The-Match today but was run close by Liam Bridcutt who was fantastic...Then again, every player was pretty good today in what would be best described as difficult circumstances as trying to play our football amongst being continually kicked is no mean feat...Pompey were one of the niggliest teams I have seen in a while.

But back on theme, I just have to say we have our Gary Dicker back!

Albion & England forever.

Dicker had a great game but Bridcutt definately took MoM for me - an outstanding performance.

I have to say that I fear for Barnes when Hoskins is fit. He doesn't seem sharp enough in this division and gets caught in possession and gives the ball away far too cheaply on his performances so far. I hope he can prove me wrong though !

Dicker was excellent today! His distribution and tackling were sublime! So happy he has kept playing and not let those two below-par (in relation to his normal performances) matches get to him, which allowed him to show us what he is capable of today, and boy was he good! :D

Liam, once more, was fantastic! He is such a good player and I love how he always gives his all! When he tackles he tends to put his whole body into the challenge so that when he wins it it looks impressive but it can sometimes make his tackles, when mistimed, look pretty bad. Another great game for him!

Dunk put in another excellent shift and if he keeps up these performances it should be difficult for El-Abd and Elphick to get back into the team. I don't know what it is, but I am so much more at ease when it is Dunk and Greer passing it about the back with Ankergren than when it was Greer with El-Abd or Elphick  His tackle on Norris was excellent at the start of the first half!

I thought all three of them were the best players on the pitch today. If I had to pick I'd say Bridcutt as MotM but it could have gone to either of the others too!

Lot of good performances but Dicker ran the show today - won so many tackles and a lot of great passes going forward as well. IMHO, Bridcutt often outshines Dicker and probably has the bigger reputation, but Dicker contributed way more today.
