Matter of opinion then. I think he is the man, and in the absence of any better offers/Russian billionaires, we could do a lot worse than someone who is as much of a fan as the rest of us.
I have watched the Albion since 1985, and the vast majority of that time has been spent either in dull mid table mediocrity or fighting relegation, with some of the worst footballers ever to pull on a shirt. Now we are chasing promotion fairly regularly, winning more games than we lose and taking large numbers of supporters wherever we go.
I'm not saying things are perfect, far from it.
But we could be in Carlisle's shoes, in which case nobody would even want to poach our manager, in fact we'd be desperate to get rid of him. We've been that close to oblivion, or the Conference, whichever is worse, and we came out. Carlisle have no hope of improving their status for the foreseeable future, at least we have that.
All it's going to take for us is one little decision from Two Jags, and (hopefully) we're on our way. Then watch all these managers get on their knees and beg us for a job. And we can take our pick and tell the fly-by-night types to get bent.
Well said edna.
Time will tell. Brighton is a great club, we always attract media attention. When Falmer is a reality managers and players alike will be queueing up to come to Albion.
Be patient and keep the faith. The next couple of years will be frustrating, but when we have Falmer the plan will be almost complete.
