What bloody silly statement to make. Of course he can't, that isn't the reason for wanting him to move upstairs.

He has run his course I'm afraid, there is no excuse this time. He picked the WRONG time to get rid of Mickey (1) because he didn't have anyone properly lined up to replace, and (2) leaving the club to the mercy of County League Caretaker managership when we are clearly desperate and in a frantic relegation battle, is frankly unforgiveable.

Dick Knight OUT, or rather, Dick Knight UPstairs to an honourary President role, and get someone in who knows how to handle managers properly.

thanks Dick, but enough is enough.

So it had nothing to do with the fans impatience all season who forced Adams out, what if Adams decided to leave at the meeting with Knight, and Knight couldn't persuede him to stay a bit longer

Also most clubs that sack a manager don't have a replacement lined up, we are no different.

What do you actually expect from the club? why are you moaning about it when it is the same as what other clubs do, why do you demand that we are the exception? and are unhappy that we arn't

Made a shit decision end of last season/beginning of this but is working hard to rectify it. Can't blame him for what went on the pitch today

I actually got asked today why I had a problem with Dick Knight - the person I spoke to asked me why I blamed him for this mess - Well he is the person that removed Dean and brought Micky back - he said to me but people were calling for Dean's head last season ?? - not everyone a lot of people thought he was doing a good job considering that budget and players he had been given - He said to me but Micky was a better manager - oh yes Dean got us to 7th Micky has got us to 20th - I asked him how Micky was better and he just walked off:rant:

I am shocked about the amount of people who want him out. Completly shocked.

As somebody has said already, lets sack everyone. Unbeleaveable.

just saying everyone says there is no one to take over

Im not saying there is no-one to replace him. Im not saying he should stay forever. I think that he should stay until Falmer has been completed, but after that he should go to the Mr President role.

Come on, its what he has been fighting for for so many years. (along with us). Give him his glory have a stand named after him and then 'retire' into what ever role he likes. He will also be 3 years older and i imagine he would quite like to rest a little by then.

But until then i will stick by him.

What a time to start suggesting that Dick Knight goes. Falmer is on the way and we are managerless. Do we want to give up this season?

Haven't fans learnt from Micky Adams. The people who demanded he was sacked should be thanked for today and are probably the same ones who want Knight out.

Actually I think you will find a lot of them are not.

The moment I lost ALL respect for Knight and realised he was just a puppet desperately clinging onto power was when he sacked Adams.

I am not a DK lover, but I respect what he has done for the club. In the last two-three years though he has lost it. Having made the bizarre decision to sack Wilkins, he HAD to stick by his decision to appoint Adams. If he truly believed Adams was the right man to take this club forward in a stable fashion then he should have given him longer. For me cowardly letting Adams go hours before a game was the final straw. So therefore I would have kept Adams on but want Knight to retire to the president role.

just saying everyone says there is no one to take over

It was a fair comment. THere is obviously a contingency if Knight were to be ill or die etc. Not being grim but any company run by an alderly Chairman would have succession planning in place. The liklihood is it would fall somewhere between Chapman, Perry and the Blooms. In the longer term I can see the Blooms appointing a proper chief executive to run the club, like many of the succesful clubs in the premiership.

IF Dick goes....i go

So you are going to stop supporting the Albion in the next three years then? Because I can guarantee Dick won't be chairman any longer than that.

I will be angered by his decision to sack Wilkins and bring in Adams, for a LONG time to come. We are now paying the price for it, and it was DESTINED to happen. Why fix something that isn't broken? Very foolish decision from someone who should know better.

That said, we can't forget the good that DK has done for the club. Falmer will be his legacy, he deserves to see Falmer in as chairman after all he has done for the club since the dark days. Football fans are fickle, maybe those wanting him out should have a think about what would've happened to this football club without Knight & co.

Of course in. Just so we're clear - Knight brought Adams back to the club to the support of a vast proportion of fans (although not all), Adams then left the club on the back of the wishes of the vast proportion of fans (although not all). Knight then selects a new manager Jim Gannon - a popular choice for the vast proportion of fans (although not all) who decides against a move to us through no fault of Knight. Mmm yes it's definately time to press the self destruct button and get rid of Knight.

And let's be clear about one more thing - it doesn't matter whether our new manager is Jose Mourinho or Carlton Palmer the pack of "instant success" wolves that SOME NSC folk are will be calling for his head after our first defeat. I'm afraid it's just the nature of our "quick fix" blame society today. Because we can't really call for White's head as temporary manager we automatically look for the next target and Knight is the only one left.

Have always supported and in years now long gone sung "sack the board" as a mark of protest. But actually it means very little doesn't it? Sack the whole company board? Just a few? Just the majority shareholder? It simply doesn't work like that does it? As a way of protest, sing it loud and clear. And yes I know, for me it is admittedly from a rather long distance. But if what you are saying is get rid of Knight and Perry who have come now so very close to delivering what some thought was impossible, as always be very careful for what you wish for.
