Di Canio may well in time go on to be a very good manager, time will tell. But he needs to do a hell of a lot more than get promoted out of league 2, before I would even mention his name and our club in the same sentence......See Micky Adams/Russell Slade.

He was a great player - & he's certainly doing well in his first stab at management. That said, if TB was to employ an avowed disciple of Il Duce to manage The Albion, I'd personally boycott the club. Some things are more important than football as far as I'm concerned.

this.

One of the main gripes people seem to have with Gus is that he is possibly a bit too emotional and eager to offer his opinions, especially when they concern a certain countryman. Di Canio would be TEN times worse in this respect.

Or 10 times better, depends how you look at it

No thanks. Someone like Paul Lambert, Brian McDermott or Brendan Rodgers for me.

I respect Di Canio for his playing days but I wouldn't want him in charge of the Albion. And I'll never forgive him for not chinning that bell end Winterburn in the Alcock incident.

It's too early to say if Di Canio will turn out to be a Jose Mourinho or a Martin Allen. Probably somewhere in the middle but ten times as mad.

Swindon play hoofball. However, that may be the way to get maximum return from the players they have. In other words, you cant make a silk purse out of a pigs ear.

Well - Ive only seen them play 3 times this season granted, but all they seem to do is lump it forward. McCormack (is he the bald guy?) is one of the worst. Even with easy passes on to the midfield, he just seems to leather it into the opposition half every time. Ditto the left back.

I've only seen two Swindon games this season, the Johnstone's Paint Final (just a few moments ago), and their home game with Bradford. Against Bradford they were completely dire, the game was the most boring since Brighton vs Huddersfield in Gus' first season, for anyone who remembers that horrible tuesday night.... But to suggest Swindon, and McCormack, play hoofball is extremely harsh. As I said, I've just watched the final and they were comfortably the better team technically and tactically. They kept the ball on the floor and moved it around really well. I was watching the game half hoping to see the poor performance I was told they put in, and have material to mock them and their being 2 leagues below us. But on the balance of the game, there's no ground to. They were extremely good and were very unlucky.

No we weren't we were shit

I gave up bigging up Swindon Town years ago, it wasn't working for me.

So I moved on to taking the piss on a regular basis, and apart from the play-off season, it's gone fairly well. And having not seen the game on sunday, but had regular updates on what was going on, I watched the game tonight fully hoping to see a hopeless performance and see a Swindon team smacking it long and often. I was told you hadn't played well, but I don't agree. I can't take the piss, it wasn't a bad performance at all in my opinion. You kept the ball well, moved the ball well and if Ritchie wasn't so overated, you would have created a lot more. It would have been so different if Connell had had more awareness and not gone for the overhead kick. Whoever it was coming into the box would have had a simple finish, if he had laid it off. But there it is. I thought you did well, and I've had to admit as much. It's funny really, because she disagrees aswell.
