The new 2011/12 away kit as unveiled on Town's website today:

Presumably they'll be wearing brown shirts for away games? Be rude not to, I'd have thought.

Ignoring the nasty FASCISM business, we are going to see a few more appointments like this, over the next year or two, as football league chairmen, desperately try to unearth the next Gus Poyet.

The days of the Dave Bassett / Micky Adams / Phil Brown / George Burley dinosaur merry-go-round are thankfully numbered.

i thought poyet was the next di matteo, who in turn was the next martinez?

either way, the more former flair players taking over as managers the better

If I were the chairman of a L2 club, i'd be straight on the phone to PAVEL NEDVED, or ENZO SCHIFO.

im sure that the dream team of attilio lombardo and tomas brolin deserve a crack at english management again after the FINE job they did in their last brief

Is the Swindon chairman trying to put his club out of business?

Enzo Schifo. My all-time favourite flairniac. If he rocked up here as Poyet's replacement, I'd have to buy SIX season tickets right next to his dugout. And then STALK him.

not sure how diCanio will do at that level - has to be new to him surely?

good luck though - nice to see a club which is down trying to show a little bit of imagination to turn it round

Massively risky appointment. He has zero managerial experience, and unlike Gus, hasn't even had the grounding of working as a number 2 at that level. He's going to be relying heavily on whoever he has as his own number 2 (maybe Paul Bodin is being retained ?). Volatile character as well, how is he going to cope trying to coax performances out of players at the arse-end of the league with a fraction of his ability ?

Who knows, despite all that maybe it'll turn out to be a masterstroke. But from where I'm sitting, this has DISASTER written all over it.

Be a bit Nawtee if they draw Spurs in a cup competition.
