I think it’s an excellent development in keeping with much of the riverside along there plus importantly it restores the Thames path to waterside for the entire stretch between Putney and Hammersmith Bridges.

If the club have any sense then they won’t sell the flats but retain ownership and rent them out providing annuity revenue and a tangible asset.

As for the impact to the stadium it will modernise and increase capacity of a frankly outdated stand without hugely changing the feel of the ground. Looks good to me.

Hmmm. I've always liked Craven cottage but this appears to turn it from being a traditional old football stadium into a footy ground/conference centre/shopping mall hybrid. Not like at all.

Because traditional old football grounds are a joy to watch football in!!!

Amex v The Goldstone = no contest.

I think it looks decent - very much like that rooftop swimming pool there is apparently balanced on top of a really expensive hotel in Singapore.

It will be a shame to block off that corner where you can look out over the Thames, but I reckon that looks really good.

I'm no Norman Foster, but the roof looks the wrong shape to me... upside down, maybe?

If you turned it the other way, all those sun loungers would fall off !! ???

They probably ought to shore up the away end a bit as well as building the new stand. The whole edifice can be made to shake and vibrate dangerously if 6-7,000 people are working effectively together!!

Bit more sophisticated than the flats overlooking Brisbane Road :lolol:

I remember watching some woman doing the ironing there one night. To be fair, it was slightly more exciting than the game.
