You're being dropped off at a Desert Island for the forseeable future, and the one bit of tech you have is a TV/DVD combo. You are allowed to choose 3 movies on DVD.

This may not be a simple "What are your 3 favourite films?", more "What films could you watch again and again and not get tired of?"

What THREE films would you take?

Anchorman
Senna
Superbad

I just want to be ENTERTAINED

See I'm thinking along these lines. I would see my favourite films as quite SERIOUS ones like Blade Runner, The Prestige etc. However, I definitely wouldn't want them on a Desert Island, as they don't make for a relaxing visual experience.

Yes. Although you can invent coconut friends.

Well, as I'm on my own, with no LADY company (ladies made out of COCONUTS don't really count), one of the films will have to be a really long and varied PORN compilation.

2. Escape to victory
3. Life is beautiful*

*unless I'm allowed the "Beginners Guide to building a sea-worthy boat out of coconuts"

Also, I took into consideration films I could cope with whilst I CERTAINLY go insane at being stranded.

For example, with Anchorman, I would incorporate myself into the film as the 5th male member of the channel 5 news team and I would join in with the conversations and report from the island.

Im not crazy. IM NOT CRAZY

I trust this a solar powered tv/dvd combo?

Exactly. How can you settle down to picking your top 3 when there is no electricity on this 'deserted' island.
Can I take two films and a generator instead ?

We'll all stick with the solar powered DVD-TV combo unit. You can have your generator, but don't come CRYING to us when it runs out of petrol.
