For me it would have been Rui Costa for Portugal at Euro 2000, who hit a 60 yard low ball into the inside right channel from his own half, with BACKSPIN!

You mentioning Arsenal reminds me of the Dutch game at France 98 when someone knocked in a another 75 yard ball from the left onto Berkamp's toe on the right of the six yard box, which he controlled and fired in for a 3-2 I think? It won BBC Goal of the World Cup
