Has left his position at Chelsea 5 day's ago...just a coincidence?

"Highly respected Chelsea coach Dermot Drummy is leaving Stamford Bridge to move into club management.
Drummy, 53, had nearly six years at Chelsea as youth, reserve and under-21 before taking on an international head coach role in the summer."

Not the time to be taking that sort of risk.

I don't like his name. It's not flair enough

I posted the following back in August on the "Crystal Palace managerial farce" thread:-

Interesting - I happened to come across Drummy's name the other day. He joined the Chelsea academy in 2007, and progressed from managing their U-16s to their U-18 side (when a certain Paul Clement moved up from the U-18s to the reserves), and then became the reserve team manager himself in 2011. This summer he was "promoted" to the position of "International Head Coach". This blogger, at least, was unconvinced it was actually a promotion, and felt they were moving Drummy out of the way to enable younger coaches to be advanced (with Adi Viveash moving from the U-18s to the U-21s, and the young Joe Edwards now taking charge of the youth team).

Given that the view of the blogger mentioned was that he was effectively being moved out of the way (and by default, demoted), I can't say that his name excites me.

And there's your traditional left field contender Seemingly out of our league and not from the 30 or so betting odds list, I'd be putting money on him.....
