Spurs agree Rasiak deal with Rams

Rasiak had been close to a move to Wolves
Tottenham have agreed terms with Derby to sign 26-year-old Polish international striker Grzegorz Rasiak.
Capped 20 times, Rasiak, who had also interested Wolves, scored 17 goals for Derby last season as the Rams reached the play-offs last season.

Spurs coach Martin Jol told the club's website: "Rasiak is a tall target man, a hard working, honest player with a good goal scoring record.

"He is a regular in the Polish side and I believe he will do well for us."

Wolves had been keen to sign Rasiak and the Rams had agreed a fee, thought to be £2.25m, but the Polish striker was unable to agree personal terms.

Sunderland also expressed an interest in Rasiak earlier in the summer.

Who is funding Spurs? They seem to be buying more players than anyone at the moment and I don't recall any big sales that would fund it. Have they got a sugar daddy or is this a boom or bust effort to drag themselves close to the Pride of North London?

They must have one of the biggest squads in the league now. There are going to be some pretty pissed off players there in a few months that can't even get a game of reserve team football.

Could be a few decent loan signings to be had from Spurs reserve team.

They sold Kanoute and Edman, but I think Levy has finally put his hand in his pocket as Jol attempts to become the Mourinho of north london!

still could be a team to watch out for ...if they can get the blend right they could make the top four this season.

As for Derby, last season they punched above their weight anyway. At best they are only going to be a mid table side this year anyway.

That's still 18million plus signing on fees and wages. Mind you, aren't ttottenham one of the ten richest clubs in the world?

I only caught the title of this thread out of the corner of my eye, and I thought it said "Derby to start juggling".

Imagine my disappointment.
