Our season could be summed up as:-

'we got all the marginal decisions wrong'.

Ancelloti wouldn't have made those mistakes.

As car crashy as it was, we were no Blackpool, we only got properly spanked at Derby.
Who knows which marginal decision could have changed the season.
Sammy Lee.
Stephen Ward.
How the players were used (I'm thinking Bournemouth away)
I wonder how the same team can produce the home performances we saw v Millwall and Leeds.

As unlikely as promotion would have been.
The nature of the division means a couple of correct decisions along the way would have had us comfortably mid table.
Not great but nevertheless still an improvement on what we got.

B/muff away we ran them close to getting a draw -wonderfull goals by us against the championsip winning side

Interesting point this,I wonder what we offered a week?was it the salary that put Clement off or the fact that Burke couldn't pick his nose let alone a decent player?
Rumours that Hughton only took the job on the provision the Burke ****ed off out of it.i wonder what CH is on a week.

I would be surprised if he turned us down for finance reasons, I guess we pay the going rate, although obviously we good no where near £40k a week. Probably £10k a week?

I also doubt Burke was the issue. At that time, his record was not too bad (the summer was then a disaster) and Clement would be comfortable with that kind of set up. Probably just timing. He was happy at Real Madrid then but circumstances have changed.

We will see this transfer window just how much of a patsy Burke was,I think as clueless as Burke was the problem runs much deeper at our club, time will tell.

Real Madrid to Preston on a wet Tues night in the Championship. That's them out of the promotion picture then. Won't work out, simple as that.

Clement earned 1.45m a year at Real Madrid after tax - and he's taking a 250k pay cut in real terms if you believe the Mirror.

Leaves him on WAY more than our CEOs salary + bonus deal however  .....

The most important nonplaying employee at the club, as far as most fans are concerned, earning more than the chief exec. I could live with that very easily, but it will not be allowed to happen at BHA

Bit jealous of this, kind of sad that we dropped the hiring of young promising managers after the disaster that was Hyypia.

I think the board stopped thinking of appointing anyone who was even vaguely likely to be high maintenance after the summer of 2012, when it became clear that Gus could become a handful. The three managers since have all been quiet and pleasant men.

Simple as what exactly? Backing up your assertions would be very welcome.
