Nowhere near enough for one of the best players in the division who can win a game single handed.

Agreed - Either there's a player exchange added or a release cause, no idea. Wednesday aren't skint though, like everyone else these days they have a wealthy owner so can't imagine they need to sell on the cheap.

Can't see Wednesday selling him to another Championship side. Not as if they need the money.

A move to Premier League next Summer, if Wednesday don't go up, but can't see him wanting to move to another Championship club

Think Wednesday are a better bet for promotion than Derby though. The only way they may sell is to a premier league team, and it will at least be double the 7m that's been banded about. This will probably play out like the Lewis Dunk saga, a couple of bids then Wendies announcing he's signed a new contract with them.
Got to admit very impressed with with who they have brought in, should be at least top 6 side, if not top 2 imho.

They haven't taken the League Cup seriously

Whereas I think that where Wednesday were really shoddy was at the back and they have done absolutely nothing to rectify that. It'll be what costs them again this year. Fletcher and Abdi both decent signings going forward but won't be enough IMO to make up for the frailties at the back.

If they were that frail why could the top scorers in the division only manage one goal against them in four games last season? I think you are clutching at straws here. I won't be surprised if they end up above us as they have a stronger squad than us now and keep signing players. We may catch up of course within the next few weeks.
