Stats: Derby (H) vs Brighton (A)

Possession: 56 - 51.9%
Passing: 82.8 - 79.9%
SPG: 14.4 - 13.2
Penalty area shots: 7.2 - 5.6 (big discrepancy)

The big worry is any team that dominates possession against us is going to tear our defence to pieces like Spurs.

Derby have two youngsters in Hendrick and Philips in midfield but they have the experienced Bryson as well.

It would be interesting to see if Sami Hyypia plays safe with an extra midfielder or sticks to the same system? After hearing about the Fulham debacle last night, I would tend to play safe.

Crowd may exceed 30,000 ? http://www.footballgroundguide.com/derby_county/

Going to be cold today and I doubt our performance will fill us with warmth. I should get out of bed really. Ok, just one more coffee.

See you at the match.

This is set up so nicely for an out-of-the-blue shock result that, unfortunately, it's much too obvious, is actually now impossible and therefore cannot happen. Come on you Seagulls! A draw would be cause for celebration.
That's what I'm thinking. It's too obvious. Derby apparently have an achilles heel but it seems you could send our boys to a gentleman's club with a few grand in their pockets and they'd still struggle to score. Metaphorically speaking obviously.

What's the worst that could happen? A 5/6/7-0 defeat has been predicted so if we do lose by that score we've met expectations. Can't do more than that this season.

Should be a really enjoyable day out with a fair amount of gallows humour and a tiny, tiny chance of pulling an unexpected result out of the hat (i.e. 4-0 to Derby).

Love "local" games! Don't have to leave until 12.30/1pm. Reckon it'll be 3 or 4 to our one goal from Bent but who cares? It's Saturday and it's Albion

I foolishly bought a ticket online in the pub last night after a few beers - technology can be a right liability.
Moved to Leicester from Worthing earlier this year.
Look out for me - I'll be the only "local" not saying "ay up me duck".
Better get a move on, train takes 23 minutes.
BTW it is flipping cold -2C at the moment.

it's not perfect... the derby badge is smaller than the brighton badge.

Its a drag getting the badges the right size. Pinch it off the Albion tickets page is easiest.

Lost. The question is: how many will Derby get?

We played well at Norwich & Bournmouth - if we get some good luck we could win this. Alternatively, some bad luck including a sending off or penalty could lead to our biggest defeat this season! 0-0 then.

I admire those espousing optimism. Really, I do. I've just got on the train and must say that I can't remember the last time I started my journey expecting so little from the club I love. Still, gotta be done. A loss by at least 2; probably bigger. If I can find 500-1 for a 5-0 as mentioned by someone, I'll have a fiver on that. I also can't remember the last time I considered placing a real bet against us either. :nono:
