Derby turn down QPR ticket prices
Derby County have refused to accept the prices set by QPR for the game at Loftus Road on 27 September.
The club said a pre-season price of £30 for adults and £20 for concessions had been agreed but had been sent tickets priced £10 above those amounts by QPR.
Club spokesman Matt McCann told BBC Radio Derby: "We think it's too high and we don't think that's fair.
"We have stood our ground and QPR have exercised their right to appeal that to the Football League."
A decision on the prices is expected later this week.
"One of our biggest frustrations is the inconvenience it's causing fans," added McCann.
"With going to London supporters may want to book a weekend and make an occasion of it.
"We expect a decision within 24 hours but either way, we will make sure our supporters aren't the victims of this situation."
QPR have recently restructured their ticket pricing with adult tickets ranging from £20 to £50 for league matches.

I read that earlier; I think it's great, good for Derby for sticking up for their fans.

Looks like the new owners at QPR are looking more to maximise existing revenues and make the best of what they have to make QPR into a bigger club, rather than pumping in their own money. Not quite sure how you can justify £50 tickets in the Championship!

f***ing obscene. Mind you QPR fans themselves have been hammered by this new regime from what I can gather on s/t prices. Its a real Faustian Pact these clubs make nowadays. Lets hope when they are playing in their new stadium on an industrial estate in Hayes surrounded by fans they dont recognise, all for sake of mid table obscurity at best in the premier, that its worth it.

Home fans are just as pissed off. They club's been deluged with letters of complaint for Hoops' supporters.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
The day I am charged £50 to watch my team play at ANY football stadium, is the day I turn my back on the beautiful game!

I would agree with that.

I can't find an explanation for the various levels (Platinum, Gold, Silver etc.), but it is still expensive. £3.50 booking fee for online purchases as well. Presumably they refer to the 'quality' of seat?

Yes. What's your point? Am I being thick?

Everyone was pant wetting saying that they wouldnt pay £50.00 for a ticket and more power to Derbys elbow for refusing to that, but Derby arent being asked to pay £50.00, theyre being asked to pay £40.00.

The ticket scale does go up to £50.00 its true, but whos been asked to pay it?

they probably have bands which are applicable to different matches based on the opponent. london derbies would probably be in band A, charged at 50 quid if the above info is correct, i would imagine.

£40, £50, whatever.
The gist is that the little crook Bernie has put the prices up and pissed everyone off.
