They are demanding that the Cartoons of their prophet Mohammed be withdrawn from circulation, & that the Danish press apologise for publishing defamatory images of someone, which their religion prohibits being portrayed in any pictorial fashion. I believe we have a similar law in this country called blasphemy.

Now Al Quaeda have a totally different aim. They wish to exacerbate the devide between Muslim and Christian, to, in their words NOT mine, create a ' Jihad ' or Holy War ( the nearest equivalent we would have would be a crusade ) against Christianity, and all the nations ( particularly the USA but I'm sure they aren't selective ) that practice Christianity. They have therefore perpetrated acts of terror against Christians in the US, UK, Kenya, Turkey, Bali, The Phillipines amongst other Countries.

They want to see a violent backlash against Muslims in this country, & are trying to polarize opinion so that there is credance and justification for their terror campaign. This is why the statement you have repeated on this thread helps their cause.

this is my point. In a democracy and a civil and free society you demand nothing. You ask ,campaign, debate, vote etc. You dont make threats etc.
