Sorry if this has been covered earlier. But how come Denmark have seen fit to adorn their shirts with a singular gold star above their badge ? I take it this is to denote their success in winning Euro 92, as its the only thing they've ever won. But unless I am VERY much mistaken, that gold star is supposed to denote previous World Cup wins for each nation. European Championship wins don't even come in to it.

Is my irritation at Denmarks inaccurate, bare-faced CHEEK in this matter both pointless, irrational and petty ? Or do you agree that the dull Scandenavian plodders have taken a bit of a liberty here, and should be punished in some way ?

YOU decide.

Why do Nottingham Forest have two gold stars on their kit which represents their European Cup triumphs, but Man City's three gold stars are to celebrate their league championships?

What next, we put the gold star on our kit for all our division championships? :lolol:

as its Euro I dont actually mind them having it, afterall it looks like one of those sticky stars you get when in first school for being good or something! When it comes to the WC and if they qualify then they should'nt have it on at all.

While I'm here move the Red strip England star back to the sleeve as not all of us work in McDonalds!

Maybe Denmark could use a SILVER star for their European Championship win and GOLD stars could be for World Cups.

Then again Brazil have won the World Cup 5 times (5 gold stars) and the Copa America 6 times (6 silver stars)...

However Uruguay have won the Copa America 16 times and Argentina have won it 14 times. They would need so many silver stars it would be silly..:jester:

I'd go along with that.
As long as the likes of Germany and Argentina are made to wear brown stars on theirs.

If silver stars are for European Championships then you would have to allow the South American countries to use silver stars for their Copa America.

It's ridiculous, and should be torn off.

We've only just bloody woken up to it here that we could have worn the star, and suddenly everyone is throwing it on as a fashion accessory. Sorry, but FIFA should stop arsing around with things like automatic yellows for topless celebrations, and take a proper stand on this one.

I reckon Denmark should be made to play in skins as a punishment.

Whatever next, will we start to see any old domestic team using triangular corner flags?

I heard that a country like Peru or Venezuela have two stars on their football shirt to represent the two gold medals they have won at the Olympics. Now that really is taking the piss.

Also only international goalkeepers should be allowed to wear yellow shirts. Goalkeepers in club matches MUST wear green. And black shirts are for referees, New Zealand rugby players and Italians of dubious political views.

What's Deputy Dawg's gold star all about? I didn't realise he even played football.

He beat Musky in an arm wrestle.
