Maybe there's been a sniff from elsewhere and we're just driving up the price?

I really like Undav. Big fan. But £25m, for a player his age who has barely played for us? Either Hürzeler wants him really badly, or we want Stuttgart to go away so we can seal a better deal with someone else that's already in the can.

I’ve not been paying that much attention, but have any of our players who made it through the Euros group stages joined up with the squad yet?
Good point no - I thought Poland had but realised they didn’t. Should probably be back now ish though I guess

Best advice on this one is the boring line of just trust the club.

Even if a decision is surprising, they've got their reasons. And remember, we only ever know a small chunk of what is going on
this...................i think Bloom relearnt a lesson with Caicedo and is determined to not revisit that again.
Having said that it was De Zerbi who lost us Trossard who was probably being 'managed' prior to De Zerbi .
Goalkeeper Sanchez who went to chelsea is a mystery his decline is astonishing maybe another stroppy git being managed ! .
Its a funny old game

Rejecting £25m is a bold move for a player we didn't want last year and who doesn't want to be here. I guess we really don't need the money + Fabian really wants him

Not sure we didn't want him, there were personal reasons he wanted to be closer to home at that time.
With regards to him wanting to be here, we also don't know that he doesnt want that strongly, just that his preference is Stuttgart. His comments in the press have been along the lines that he wants to stay in Stuttgart, but it's for the two clubs to work out if that happens.

Just wonder if there is an issue with the payment terms or bonuses which we are not happy with.
There was a report I read a while back that his wage offer from Stuttgart, was also an issue, and Undav wanted more.

Unless Undav has suddenly become a less slow, less lardy version of Maupay and has kicked his addiction to kebabs, then let Stuttgart have him. At a stupidly inflated price, obviously :bigwave:

I don't understand this, he was in good form at the end of the season with us, before being brilliant in the bundesliga.

Gotta be honest, in his position, I ‘might’ be telling the fans/press (perhaps not so vociferously) that I was happy to stay, not wanting to shoot myself in the foot. (What really matters is what he’s telling PB/FH)
