The whole White “saga” is a major deflection from the fact they are yet to have a contracted manager. If it is playing something like this then great for other clubs in or near relegation. The scenario must be
- come and join us for lots of money
- who’s the manager and how does he see my role
- if you join it will be Bielsa... probably
- OK - and so what are the plans to play - how do you see me fitting in
- well, if you sign the manager might join and tell you

Every day that Bielsa doesn’t have a contract is another 3 points dropped and they may even miss out on the last Champion’s league spot.

We’ve finally found a subject that both Brighton and Leeds fans agree on, this could end the war and dear old Timmy could be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Edit - I’ve read the article, they are tenuous “facts” at best and a majority of the facts are incorrect anyway.

Let's examine the following fact

2) White has played twice for Albion – in the League Cup and the Football League Trophy. He has also been involved in a Premier League squad once – against Burnley in 2018.

Ben has indeed played twice for Brighton, however both of those games were in the League Cup against Colchester and Oxford United. His appearances in the Football League Trophy came for our academy team and do not count as first team appearances. In reality he's played 6 times in the Trophy so if you were including them then he'd have made 8 appearances. Otherwise a spot on "fact".

According to some they've signed Cody Drameh others are boasting about a Coady Dramah, that's really confusing having two players with such close names. Apparently within a week both will be better than White

It's only considered a big atmosphere because as usual, your neanderthal brigade are always up to their usual tricks. Thugs, thieves and bigots.... we've seen them rampage all over the country for decades.... abuse and assault anyone they can get their hands on. I am joking, the reputation of Leeds fans is undeserved, it is not like it used to be in the seventies, but it is perhaps more like it used to be at Leeds than just about anywhere else, (excepting Millwall of course).

Maybe the Premier League if we stay there a while will prettify us, but I have my doubts...

We are a gritty working class club, always have been, always will be. You may not like us, in fact you clearly don't, and you may laugh at us, but as I said in my first post, for all the mockery (which in the case of the hysteria over White is not undeserved, to be fair), we are a proper club, with character and identity.

one of the most cringe worthy things that I hear from Leeds fans is about how they hate Man U and how Manu U hate them.

I always just say "the same Man U that haven't battered an eye lid at leeds for the last 20 years as they've been too busy winning champions leagues and PL titles".

To be honest, I don't think before all this with White many of us really cared much either way re Leeds. I still don't, but this whole saga has been very entertaining on your club's behalf.

I don't doubt for a minute that Leeds aren't a traditional club with a largely working class fan base, but what makes a 'proper' club? What's made many of our fans react has been the way many of your fans on social media have belittled our club and acted such Billy Big bollocks about Leeds. Just because a club hasn't been in the top division much, why does that mean theyre not a proper club? We have a rich history, perhaps not in terms of winning trophies, but in the ups and downs of our success on the pitch, and the way the club hit rock bottom and has recovered and progressed so much since. It's a great story imo. We had smaller attendances through the 90s and 2000s after how the club was ruined and losing our ground etc, but before and since we have a history of very decent sized crowds despite being largely lower leagues, and as you know we managed larger attendances than proper club mighty Leeds for many years on the trot since the Amex, including a few seasons we were shyte/average.

I find it interesting the way so many fans of those clubs who see themselves as top teams seem to think all other clubs are tinpot, or their fans arent as passionate, etc. We're in the Prem on merit. We have an excellent set up, we're brilliantly run, we have an first class academy and training facilities, we have a large number of season ticket holders and a long waiting list, I could go on. We're miles ahead of Leeds in some ways in terms of Premier league standard.

Time moves on, things change in football, it amazes me that so many supposed 'proper club' fans seem to just want a closed door premier league with the likes of Wednesday, forest and the like.

I recall Barber telling me to some surprise that the Amex needed significant upgrading when we made it to the PL. I think the tune was about £6m, which shocked me considering the Amex was in its infancy. But HD lighting and extra press boxes cost.

Imagine the cost for Bellend Rd might be similar if not more.

And there is the dichotomy.
I really didn’t like the 60’s/70s, Leeds, cynical, dirty, arrogant, I must admit, I agreed with Brian Clough, but, that is not to say they weren’t successful

Howard Wilkinson’s team was okay, I didn’t mind them, didn’t really care one way or the other. The 1998-2002 were a good team, great to watch and I liked O’Leary.
My problem with Leeds has always been the fact that a higher percentage of their fans are knobheads than any other team. I knew a fair few when I was serving, you could have a football conversation with other clubs fans, I was even mates with a Palace fans but Leeds in the main were arrogant as well as paranoid, a difficult mix to master. Even when really shite, they still insisted they were a superior club , team ,and support to any other team.

1) White was born in Poole in Dorset – not far from Bournemouth – where Leeds won promotion to the old First Division in 1990. It was a fixture that ensured clubs based in seaside resorts could never have home fixtures on bank holiday weekends again.

Were does he make this shit up from? We played at home on August Bank Holiday Monday when we were playing at Withdean, I remember flying back from the Edinburgh Festival on the Monday morning to watch Brighton beat Plymouth who had Traibo West playing for them. If I remember correctly, West was comedy awful and it was rather warm, I was bloody knackered after a week at the Fringe though so my memory may be playing tricks on me.

And a longer history to boot. We were Champions of ALL England 9 years before Leeds were even in existence. They're are like an annoying younger northern cousin you meet at a wedding. Irritating but you only see them for a while before they disappear again.
