[Albion] Deluded Leeds (an EFL club) fans

I just remember during the 2020 transfer window with TB stating that he didn’t want to be selling our best players to one of our rivals. The outrage that this caused amongst their fan base that Brighton - going into their 4th consecutive top-flight season - could consider themselves in the same bracket as Leeds - just promoted to the top-flight for first time in 16 years - was arrogance beyond belief.

Bet they wish that we classified them as rivals this season.

Saw lots of crying Leeds fans on the BT Sport broadcast.

Proving once and for all that Sky Sports does NOT bring us the best moments in sport.
I love to see a crying fan, were any in facepaint? Tear smudged facepaint on a fan makes me laugh heartily

Well that worked out well.

I’ve mentioned on here before but I always remember a radio phone in thing I listened to when Leeds were promoted. Leeds fans and some ex players were discussing how they thought they’d get on now back in the top flight… Every single person, every one, was predicting top 6 finishes & European football once they’d got past the initial survival season. Not an ounce of humility amongst them.

A chap that does work for me supports Leeds and when they came up he gave it the biggun, said I was dillusional about how well Brighton would do. We had a bet that year on who would finish higher, and of course he won that, but said the following season Leeds would be in Europe.

He even said his Leicester supporting mate thought Brighton would go down.

I‘ve been keeping my powder dry all season, and even spared him a text today out of courtesy but boy is he having it tomorrow.

Where do we get our guaranteed 4/6 points from next season.

Self identifying as a “big club” is step 1 to humiliation if you are a poorly run, poorly recruited club with a mentality that the top division is the same as it was 20 years ago.

The PL is now full of super clubs not big clubs and also well run clubs. If your club is a basket case you won’t survive long. Proof today.

While passionate their fans are totally deluded and living in the past with an outdated perspective on grandeur. Evident again today they get everything they deserve.

Bielsa had no plan b. The next few managers had plan m, plan y and plan z. All too different. The failure comes down to the board and the fans need to realise that having a few ok season in the 70s and being a big city with only 1 club simply doesn’t buy you anything.

Hope they stay down longer this time.

Bielsa was boom and bust football. It got them up and one excellent PL season.

Well and truly bust now though!

Remember how many of them were in with us at the Amex and how much they boasted about their behaviour? I hope they get relegated again next season.
